A good dac like the V30 would be awesomeTy , i hope battery life will get better for him, as i'm eyeing the Pro too .
But, tbh the Mate 9 is just so good, nothing is tempting at all, even the DAC is decent, just wish they had a great dac like in V30, so it could power up mine ATH E70 and all other equipment.
$70 isn't cheap at all. Let us know how that well that plays out when you get itI do, i have the Fiio K1 but it's mini USB, so i use 3 different adapter hehe.
Gonna order the only USB C native DAC soon, 70USD not cheap
Honestly, i can't wait to see what Oreo brings to the Mate 9, and how the Mate 10 A.I gonna be used outside of the camera, let us not forget that P11 launching soon.
Huawei does need to sort out notifications.
Battery life is usually superb on most Huawei devices and I think Mate 10 Pro is going to be no exception.
Otherwise their devices are solid minus timely software/security updates.
Can a third party app cure it?The notification disappearing thing is apparently common across multiple Huawei phones. It's just the way they do things unfortunately.
Wow mini usb. Now that sucks.I do, i have the Fiio K1 but it's mini USB, so i use 3 different adapter hehe.

Ok that is good to hearA lot of reviews stated the Mate 10 is at least on par with the Mate 9 if not better
It isn't if they only have 1 hour sotEven without knowing the sot. A full day and some without charging the phone is impressive to me
Yup. If you use intensive apps then it won't last as long as web browsingYes. People uses their phone in so many different ways

Perhaps people need to go the Motorola approach to get them to fix their warranty processTheir phones are rock solid. And the warranty process needs to step up as well
They did claim monthly security patches on the mate 10biggest problem is lack of updates and update policy, but tbh the stock rom works so good, i have no need for root, tweaking or anything else, but would be nice to get updates.
Not sure if it is because his is near phone release time thoughI think they are getting better with updates.
