Mate 9 notifications/text App. whats everyone using-

Iv gone throgh a few texting apps and am really not to happy with any of them. not sure if this is a TMO thing or Mate 9.

Mate has been the only phone where I actually like the native text messaging app!

I to like the native text app, but as I have just come from a Samsung phone for many years, I do miss the option to repeat the notification sound of a new unread text.
has anybody found a way to repeat the notification sound

I had problems with both the stock MMS and Google Messenger. Installed Textra and all problems were solved.

Textra has been my sms app of choice for years now. You can't go wrong with it.

Thanks Everyone-. ive got Textra loaded but am not getting my text on my lockscreen. at least not so i can read it an answer .. anyone else have this problem ??

Stock. Came from a nexus 6 with the Google messenger and been happy with the stock one.

Go into the settings for Textra and select "custom notifications". From there you can look at the options under "Heads-up Notifications". Hope that gets it working for you.

Textra is what I use too. Has lots of nice customizing features.
