Huawei P8 Lite NO touchscreen response

Hi my friend is using his Huawei P8 Lite and his touchscreen is not responding at all, i have replaced the touchscreen (digitizer + screen) and touchscreen still doesn't work. The hardware buttons DO work though...
What is the problem here? I need help urgently

Welcome back! Unless you're a trained technician, it's hard to know if you may have done something incorrectly while replacing the screen. Or the replacement might be faulty. I would suggest bringing it to a repair shop.

Thanks for the obvious haha.
So the problem BEFORE replacing the display is still present after i replaced it: no change at all after replacing the display.
Meaning its not the fault of the display, it just doesn't respond to touch so to be more technical:
- the display DOES get power from the battery cause it turns on like normally,
- the hardware buttons are functional
- Everything else works fine
It's definitely not the display itself...
So maybe the connector on the motherboard is faulty or something else?

I have no technical experience with this, but I'll see if I can try to point you in the right direction. Looking right near the end of this video (arond 5:50), I see something about a "touchscreen flex." Are you certain that you reconnected that correctly?
