CM7 RC4 - quick questions

I am currently using Incredibly Re-Engineered v. 1.1

I am planning on switching to CM7 RC4 because I have read many good things about it and it is time for a change. I just have a few quick questions.

After I download and flash CM7 RC4 will I also have to download and flash GAPPS?

If so do I need to wipe everything again before I flash GAPPS or should I just wipe cache or what?

If I do need to download GAPPS, which version should I download?


Sorry if this is a lot of questions I just haven't used a CyanogenMod before so I am not sure exactly what I need to do.

Check the OP of the CM7 nightly thread - links to the current GAPPS are there.

Coming from another ROM, you want to do a full wipe of data, cache and dalvik.

Before wiping though, download the RC4 and the GAPPS. You can flash the RC4 and then flash the GAPPS in the same Clockwork session. When you reboot it will ask what GAPPS you want to download after logging in with you Google account.

From there it's standard re-build of your setup as with any ROM.

I would recommend getting ROM Manager from the market if you dont have it already. In there you can actually download CM7 RC4 and google apps at the same time and it will take you through the whole process right from the app.
