Waited way to long to root!!!

I can't for the life of me figure out why I didnt root my phone earlier. Almost a year after getting the phone and I just rooted my phone last week. I'm loving the freedom and I'm loving all the different custom roms. If you are debating on it just do it. You won't be disappointed.

Simply, it allows you to change things the phone manufacturer &/or cell carrier doesn't want you to, e.g. uninstall bloatware, flash ROMs, etc...
