android lollipop for Moto X 2014

First time user of android. I own the Moto X 2014 edition. I live in Canada and sadly I have yet to receive the update. Anyway I can manually install it then to wait for my carrier to push it ota.

You have to install your carrier's version of the update. Once they start sending it out, someone will capture it (it normally deletes itself after installation) and you can download it and install it. If you install some other carrier's version, you could brick the phone.

The thing is my carrier hasn't gotten the update. Was wondering if there were any another way to get it.

Youll have to install the 5.0 version that corresponds with the model of your phone ie: (XT _ _ _ _). If you try to install a version thats for a different model you take the chance of bricking your phone.

If your carrier has not released this update then you do not have the right version
