No longer seeing 5ghz connections for wifi

I have an lg stylo 4, via Straight Talk. Running 8.1 Oreo. It always detected 2 or 5 ghz on any wifi connections available in the past. My gf got a new router. Once it was hooked up it showed a 2 and 5 ghz connection available. Then suddenly before I could connect my phone to the 5ghz, the screen looked like it did a page refresh and all the 5ghz options went away. All of them! Even all my neighbors, too. Even ones that I couldnt connect to because I did not kbow the password. Its as if my phone just refuses to show any 5ghz connections available, at all? She connected to it with her S9+ with no problem. Now no matter where I go, my phone will not show any 5ghz connections at all, now. I have seen other threads describing the same thing and I do not see any resolution to this issue on these threads. I have done all the obvious things. Reboot the phone look in my advanced Wi-Fi connection options but there is absolutly nothing that is obvious that fixes this problem. There is no option to toggle between 2 or 5ghz in my options. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! When you bring up the details of the wi-fi network in your Settings>Wi-fi menu, what throughput speed is it showing?

Sorry -- I mean that when you're connected to the wi-fi network, go to Settings>Wi-fi, and tap on the network you're using. On my Pixel 3 XL, it shows the frequency being used (2.4 vs 5 GHz) as well as the Transmit Link Speed.

Phone does not have options to see more information about the connection. Only shows available connections and which one you are connected to. It literally took away all the 5ghz connections off my screen right before my eyes, for no reason.

Let's take one step back, since the screenshot you're showing is Advanced Wi-fi. What do you see when you're just in the Settings>Wi-fi menu? At the top should be the wi-fi network you're currently connected to, correct? Tap on that network name (or the gear icon associated with it) -- but not the wi-fi toggle switch. Still shows nothing?

Do not have any Wi-Fi available at the moment. If I remember correctly, taping on the network name will give me the option to save or forget that connection.

You have to connect first, and then tap on the network to get all of the network details. It looks like you're not currently connected to any of those networks.

This is what I see when I click on the connected network. No options to do anything. Only save or forget network.
