Galaxy s5 screen doesn't work when wet

lloydbg, under Settings -> Display have you tried changing the setting for "Increase touch sensitivity?" It's meant for gloved hands, but maybe it would make the screen too sensitive to water drops.

Galaxy s5 screen doesn't work when wet

can3gwx's experience notwithstanding, as I recently bought a new S5, I have recently read the owner's manual. It does state that the touch screen will not work properly when wet. I'm not sure about the flickering, that does sound odd.

Upgrading Brand New S5 to Marshmallow

I have a NOS (new old stock) S5 SM-G900P (Sprint / Ting) on the way to me from e-bay. I got it for $220, not bad for a former flagship phone. I'm thinking that the best thing to do is to upgrade the OS from KitKat to Marshmallow as soon as I activate the phone, before installing any apps or...

Is KitKat working well for anybody?

The phone is working great so KitKat would do nothing good for me. It would take away write access to my MicroSD card. I have installed flash (I want flash for exactly one thing, and that is a weather radar site that I like), and it would kill that. The one thing that the latest update would do...

Is KitKat working well for anybody?

Note: I tried to edit rather than reply to myself. But edit wasn't working. I have decided to stick with JB. I have turned off updates. - - - Updated - - - Note: I tried to edit rather than reply to myself. But edit wasn't working. I have decided to stick with JB. I have turned off updates.

Is KitKat working well for anybody?

Serious question, not sarcasm. I'm seeing so many complaints of serious malfunction that I'm wondering if KitKat working well for anybody? I'm with Ting, not Sprint. My new S4 Tri-Band from Ting arrived by FedEx yesterday. Setup went well, and the device is very nice. A 401.2 MB update is...

Most Of My Memory Gone Due To A Miscellaneous File, Specifically called (media) Help!

Just a guess here, but maybe android itself or one of your installed apps have media scan or media indexing active. One of the first google hits for: galaxy s2 media scan media indexing is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1hlxXdiW_8

    Galaxy S2 still worth it?

@ paulhead Sounds great, and I'm sure it is nice to finally get what you pay for. I'm with Ting and my usual bill is $11 per month. Usually 0MB data because I use Wi-Fi only, and zero texts because I hate text. Last month, they changed my billing practice to pay for what you used the...

    Galaxy S2 still worth it?

Sounds great, Sprint data sucks in my city too (two WiMax towers, and zero LTE). So, kill me with the price. How much do you have to pay AT&T every month?

    Clock loses minutes

golfdriver97 said: > "Another trick is to turn airplane mode on then off. It forces a refresh of the cell network and will adjust the time." Ah, I hadn't thought of that. I had just been ringing my own voice mail, than hanging up as soon as it answered. > "Although, you would think it is...

    Clock loses minutes

Thanks, I can't believe I overlooked that setting. Now hopefully, the S2 can keep reasonably accurate time on its own.

    Clock loses minutes

My S2 occasionally loses minutes on the clock. This only seems to happen when I am in an area with no cell signal at all. When I have a signal, the clock will reset to the right time as soon as I make or receive a call. Anyone else seeing this? And how does the S2 keep time, is it entirely...

Hows everybody liking Official Jelly Bean (those who have it)? Thumbs up? Thumbs down?

Are you sure about that? I'm running ICS, stock and not rooted. When I try to zoom in 1080 HD video (with the stock camera app), a message pops up: "Zooming is not supported while recording full HD video."
