lloydbg, under Settings -> Display have you tried changing the setting for "Increase touch sensitivity?" It's meant for gloved hands, but maybe it would make the screen too sensitive to water drops.

can3gwx's experience notwithstanding, as I recently bought a new S5, I have recently read the owner's manual. It does state that the touch screen will not work properly when wet. I'm not sure about the flickering, that does sound odd.

Thanks, I can't believe I overlooked that setting. Now hopefully, the S2 can keep reasonably accurate time on its own.

My S2 occasionally loses minutes on the clock. This only seems to happen when I am in an area with no cell signal at all. When I have a signal, the clock will reset to the right time as soon as I make or receive a call. Anyone else seeing this? And how does the S2 keep time, is it entirely...

Are you sure about that? I'm running ICS, stock and not rooted. When I try to zoom in 1080 HD video (with the stock camera app), a message pops up: "Zooming is not supported while recording full HD video."
