Why won't my phone sync emails any longer after installing the latest update?

Installed update on Samsung - Need help please

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me as I am a little silly with phones etc
I have installed the latest update and now my phone will not sync any emails and when using Facebook, little things like it will not let me click on a person and view their profile and very often seems to say cannot load due to Wifi connection.
I also think Facebook when I am on there seems to be a little behind.

Can anyone help, it is driving me mad as I need my emails for work.

You will join many who suffer issues after a major update. Below are some things that might get you back on track.

1. Simple First - Reboot Phone, if you haven't
2. Enter Recovery Mode and do a wipe of the Cache Partition. (NO DATA LOSS) Safe to do.
3.. Full Factory Reset (MUST BACK UP IMPORTANT DATA, ALL WILL BE LOST DOING THIS STEP) Phone will be as new.
