Can't move apps to home or second screen

Hi everyone
I used to be able to tap, hold and then move the app, but now it's not budging. Anyone else had the same problem?
Any ideas how to fix?

Long-press the app (in the app drawer) until the screen shows some indication of change. Then drag the icon to the home screen (whichever home screen is showing at the time - you can always move it to a different home screen later).

Rukbat, you are a star! I'm not sure when the need to hold it for so long happened, but that was the problem.
