Operator shows on lock screen but not on home screen

Hi everybody.
So, today was a big day: I moved from Moto G 1st gen to a Moto G4 Plus!

On my old Moto G, the operator was both on the lock screen and home screen / status bar on top. However, on my G4 Plus, it's only on lock screen. The minute I swipe up and enter my PIN, it's not there anymore.

For me, it's vital that I can see because it tells me if it's connected or not to my operator.

Welcome to the forums. Do you mean the network name on the left side of the status bar or the signal graph on the right?

Yes, I mean the network name on the left of the status bar. It's there on the lock screen but disappear as soon as I unlock the phone.

Thanks for registering! Yeah, I think the network name was removed from the status bar after Marshmallow. It only shows up on the lock screen, but not after you unlock the phone.

Just in case I'll move your thread to the G4 Plus forum, where it'll easier getting answers from other owners. Maybe there's some option in the settings to enable it, but I doubt it.

Does it matter though? The triangle shows if youre connected to a network – cellular or WiFi.
