Moto X 2014 on clearance, $199, got one!

Motorola.com has the 32GB '14 X on clearance for 199. I had one of these last summer for 2 weeks, at which time I returned it because I had just found out the 2015 X was going to be affordable for me.

I really liked the 14, so I jumped at the chance to own one again, for real this time. I even still have two cases for it. Good times.

Nice deal. I just bought the 16gb unused from swappa at $150 with bamboo back.

Of course there is some risk with swappa but I have read PayPal has backed up buyers in many instances. I limited myself to unlocked with at&t in my search as didn't want to deal w/ that hassle.

It's a great phone. Still my favorite size wise. Only reason I moved on to a 2015 Pure Edition was the improved camera.

I'm very tempted to get one at that price. There are still a lot of Moto Maker options available for it, too.

Should I be concerned about how much longer it will receive OS updates? Like if I wanted to use it for a couple years?

Well, I ordered the 32GB one for $199, and I picked the Net10 SIM. I'm using it on AT&T, though. I thought only the 64GB Pure Edition was unlocked and eligible for Marshmallow. But I guess as long as you get one through Motomaker maybe it's unlocked and will get it. *shrug*
