How to X-fer music from pc to Moto X Pure?

I am trying to transfer some music I have on my pc (windows 7) to my MXPE. I hook up the MXPE to the pc by USB cable but can't seem to get my PC to find my MXPE? Help please, I do not think it should be this hard. Thanks Charlie

Welcome to Android Central.

The cable that comes with the Moto X Pure Edition is only for charging, not data transfer. You'll need to use a different cable that supports data transfer or use an app that does the same thing. I like AirDroid.
