Moto Z2 Play Cell Standby Battery Drain

Ever since I have had this phone, and I have had others cell standby is always the top user. Today for example i Have used phone all day with cell standby being 14% with about 1hr 37 min of radio time. Can anyone give me any insight on this issue, and if there running into the same problems? Thank You!

I'm having the same problem, horrible cell standby battery drain.

High drain in "cell standby" usually occurs when the phone has to use more power to get a good signal. The further from the tower (or other factors that lower signal), the more power the phone has to use to keep a connection.
That said, if there is a problem with an antenna or other hardware fault it could cause excess drain also.
