Bulging edge

Hi,
My wife's Turbo 2 has a bulging edge that did not come from dropping it, but may have come from sitting on it... she's not sure when it happened except within a couple of hours where it definitely wasn't dropped.
Any thoughts on how to fix this? I don't see anything similar online.

Welcome to Android Central! Does it seem to be bulging thickness-wise? If so, I'd also be concerned about a failing or defective battery that's swelling up.

I don't think it is from the battery because everything else seems smooth and not damaged. I'm not sure what component is in that upper right corner and whether it could be damaged. Either way, do you think a repair shop could fix that black edge around the screen? Or just get a case for the phone to cover it?

Thanks everyone! Looks like I will be sending it back to Motorola for repair or replacement. I appreciate the help, though.
