Just got a 6P, can anyone help with where to get high quality USB to usbc cable with charge and data ability, that will allow fastest charge and data transfer for the nexus6p device?

iOrange-E sells a nice high quality cable that will allow the fastest charge rate allowed when using a USB-A plug in the chain. I believe it was one of the first to be blessed by Benson Leung, a Google engineer that went on a crusade against low-quality USB-A to USB-C cables.

A "low quality" cable is one that tricks the device (at least those NOT supporting Qualcomm's Quick Charge spec) into thinking they're charging rapidly and draws more power than the cable should supply. The 6P is one of those using the "native" USB-C fast charge rather than the Qualcomm spec, so a "charging rapidly" indication should only be possible with a USB-C to USB-C cable.

See this spreadsheet for "approved" cables: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wJwqv3rTNmORXz-XJsQaXK1dl8I91V4-eP_sfNVNzbA/edit#gid=0

All answers have been great and helpful, now I have an additional question regarding usbc, do they make a car charger that will work with Nexus 6P?

They do - if you look at the spreadsheet (referenced earlier) you'll see a few car chargers. The Vinsic one looks pretty good, although it doesn't come with a USB-C to USB-C cable.

If you got the one on line 45 on the spreadsheet I linked, I have the same one. You can use either a USB-C to USB-C cable or a USB-A to USB-C cable but you'll get the best results with a proper USB-C to USB-C cable (I have an Anker one that works well).

In fact - the cable I have is the one that comes up as "frequently bought together" when I go to the product page for the adapter.
