I downloaded a few TV shows to watch at home where I have no wifi. I had wifi, Bluetooth, and have turned off a lot for battery conservation.About 4-5 times it skipped like a scratched DVD. I could assume because the processor working so hard but surely this thing is better than that??

Likely the DL was flawed, (though clear the cache, that often helps if too much is running and the file is fine) you can test it by encoding your own if you know how, I encoded Zero Dark Thirty in very high res just to see how good the picture was, I use MX Player. It's an 8 gig file so it should have been very taxing on the player. Two and half hour 8 gig movie, playback was flawless.
