Why does the phone on my note 4 cut out

During conversation I can't hear the other person or they won't be able to hear me

Welcome to Android Central! Have you spoken to your carrier about this? Maybe a new SIM card might help. If the problem persists, the phone itself might be faulty--how old is it? It's probably still under warranty, so contact a Samsung service center.
