How do i access my download history from my samsung note 4 on my laptop

I have been trying to get to my "my files" folder on my note 4 from my laptop and have been unsuccessful. My ultimate goal is to find all the music that I down loaded an.d have lost

Welcome to Android Central! When you connect to the computer via USB, swipe down the notification panel, tap the USB icon, and make sure MTP is selected. On your computer's Windows Explorer, does the device show up in the list? If so, then you have to know which directory those music files were downloaded to. It might be the Download directory, but it could also be a specific directory associated with the browser (if it's a 3rd party browser) or with the app (if you were using some kind of music downloader app).

"My Files" is the name of the Samsung file manager app--it isn't a directory on the phone.
