How do I get unread notification counts to display? When I'm getting new messages that notice is just in the top bar it doesn't show a message count in my sms icon

You will have to install Tesla unread which is part of Nova launcher.

Ok got it and set it for messages and some other stuff. The first message it didn't work didn't show a new count but maybe it takes a few minutes to set in.

I believe Tesla only works with the paid version

Ok. Well I'll make sure I like it well enough before purchasing the pro version.

Ok got it and set it for messages and some other stuff. The first message it didn't work didn't show a new count but maybe it takes a few minutes to set in.

Make sure the Nova Prime unread count badges is turned on, I also installed Notifyer+ to get more app unreads.

Not sure if it's me but it seems like Nova uses more battery over the stock launcher. Any suggestions on what I could check?

I use Nova Launcher with Tesla Unread Message counter as well, and I too am curious about the battery drain claim. I pretty much rely heavily on the unread email count, though. I used Apex for a while but Nova gives you the option to lock your screen on a "double tap".

Definitely a feature I miss that was on my LG G3 (stock launcher only).

EDIT: Nevermind I found it.

Sucks it doesn't work with the fingerprint sensor though....

What? It doesn't? You mean Fingerprint unlock doesn't work with Nova Launcher or just with the double tap? I just tried to set Fingerprint Unlock yesterday & couldn't. I do have "double tap" enabled.
