Google Play Podcast subscriptions not syncing from old to new

Exactly as the title suggests. Podcasts that I had previously subscribed to are not showing up in current subscriptions on the Note 9. I don't know if there is a setting to change this but I haven't had this problem before having gone through 4, maybe 5 device changes.

The ones I subscribed to thru Note 8 are showing up fine on Note 9. I didn't change any settings when installed.

Yeah, I ended up going through and subscribing to them all again. Not the worst thing that I've had to do but I don't understand why.

I use PocketCast for podcasts.
