Yes, always. I have even toggeled it a few times but no difference.

Mine is shown in post 4 above. The only one I have off is the deals and advertisements but that should not matter? I will turn it on just to be sure.

I never get update notifications even though I have the option turned on, haven't for quite a while now. For a very brief time I did on my Pixel 6 Pro and thought maybe the issue was fixed, but no ... Soon I was back to no update notifications.

I've gotten in the habit of checking for updates myself every morning as part of my daily routine. There are even occasions where I go into the Play Store to the "Updates Available" tab and see nothing populated but if I hit "Check for updates" an app or 2 will pop up for updating.

Mustang, this is a little off-topic, but I notice the screen shot used in your reply shows as a torn image and not the actual picture. I'm using Tapatalk. If I refresh, some photos will correctly show, whole others keep the torn image icon. It can't be my S22 Ultra as same happens on my P6P. Is this a Tapatalk issue?

Just to make sure I am not missing something, below are the two places I find settings to have on. Are you referring to another location I have missed?





Edit: There is an update and link in a post near the end of this thread, but thought I would update just to say that it appears this is a fairly common issue with no way to resolve it ourselves. There is a report to Google so hopefully they will look into it. If you have this problem, please go to the following link and "star" the issue to let them know. It happens to me also , I clear cache then force stop and usually ok

Hmm. What else could it be? There was another post a few back where someone said the also do not get notification of app updates. I wonder how common it is. It will be interesting to see now that you have turned yours on temporarily, whether or not you get notified.

I have had one update sitting there waiting for a couple hours now and still nothing.

I think it's been a issue for awhile but I'll wait until one is available to know for sure , best thing is to report it as I think might be a bug .

OK thanks. Update us once you know what yours does. I would be happy if it is a bug and not just my phone. Although there are several, like berrybubbles in post 3 of this thread that do say they get notified.

I searched at Google Issue Tracker and did not find anything. But that site/tool is cumbersome to use at best. I did create a new issue describing the problem though. When you suggested reporting, is there where you meant. Or to Samsung? If Samsung, where do you do that?

I haven't been getting update notifications either. I guess it doesn't bother me because I automatically go in the play store and check . Same for the Galaxy store.

Me, too. Now that I think about it, the only Play notification I get is the one for Messages, saying it must be manually approved (since I disabled auto-update when I had the open beta installed). I looked earlier today and have all the notifications on, but that Messages one is the only Play notifcation I ever see.
