ROM Compatibility

Hi,

I have a galaxy s3 SGH-I747M from Rogers. I am rooted, and I was wondering: is it ok to flash SGH-I747 (Galaxy S3 AT&T) ROMs on my SGH-I747M? In other words, are att s3 roms compatible with the Rogers s3? Thanks in advance to people who respond.

I would say probably not. Use the goo.im app to find ROMs that r compatible.

Well the reason I ask is because on another blog I visit it says the Bell S3 is compatible (and the Bell and Rogers S3 have the same model number) and also because cyanogenmod for att s3 is compatible with Rogers s3.

Figured it out. Barely anyone makes ROMs for the Rogers/Canadian S3 (I couldn't find any), so instead of flashing the d2can version of TWRP through GooManager, you flash the d2att version through GooManager (change build.prop to d2uc, d2att). You still root using the d2can CF Auto-Root (thanks Chainfire!), but flashing the AT&T recovery works. You can then flash CM on your Canadian S3. You should be able to flash any ROM that doesn't contain a modem, I believe.
