Galaxy S4 Low Dalvik Performance?

So my phone seems to have poor Dalvik performance in comparison to other S4's. All of my other scores are on par with other devices but my Dalvik performance is consistently a great deal lower than other S4's. What could cause this, a hardware problem?

I switched from the stock Samsung AT&T ROM to CyanogenMod because the stock ROM was very stuttery. CM fixed about 90% of those issues but it still stutters from time to time in places that it shouldn't. My friends Verizon S4 on the stock ROM is buttery smooth.

I am assuming my lag and stutter problems are coming from the low Dalvik performance. Does anyone know of things to try and increase performance in this area???

How did you know it had low dalvik performance? How do you measure that? I don't know mine.
