Galaxy S5: heart monitor not working

I updated my Samsung Health app and ever since the heart monitor has not been working. When I try to use it the red light that usually comes on when I'm in the app doesn't turn on and it doesn't recognize my finger as being there. Anyone know why this is?

this happen to me. i went into application mgr scrolled to s health cleared cache and data. i also turned it off then back on. and now everything works. the red light would not come on prior to doing this,
