Wipe Cache Partition Option Not Available

A

AC Question

After Marshmallow was installed the S5 would go into a boot loop. When I go into Recovery Mode there is no option to Wipe Cache Partition.

I've factory defaulted the phone.

I've powered off the phone by taking the battery out, (It's a brand new Samsung battery) waited a while and plugged it back in.

Pressed the Up Volume, Home and Power button until the phone vibrates.

Released the power button but continue to press the Up Volume and Home buttons

Release the two buttons when I get the "Recovery Mode..." message.

The only options are Boot to Normal, Factory Reset or Safe Mode.

The phone continues into a boot loop after a minute or so.

By a flook I was able to get into the full menu just once but have not been able to get back into it ever since.

Welcome to the forums. Wipe cache is no longer available on my Pixel either. This may be a future path for Android.
