verizon messages app notification problem

I've checked all my notification settings but I don't know why for messages I can't receive the text preview while on the lock screen. It works with Samsung messages and hangouts but verizon messages only gives me one text unread but never the content itself.

Might be the app itself. Every app functions differently. I don't use the verizon app myself as o can't stand it. But I know people who use it and like it. I find it ugly myself.

All Verizon apps are horrible. I doable then first thing.

The only reason I like it is because I can send texts over wifi.

Yeah I noticed MMS messages sometimes don't send on WiFi. But sometimes they do. Very odd. Had this condition on my S5 as well (on VZW).

You don't have unlimited texts? Is been that way for years now.
