How can I get my S6 Edge Screen Clock to wake up?

I can't get my S6 Edge Screen Clock to Wake Up

With the Edge Screen off I can't get the desk clock on. I can and do get Info screen to show using swipe for that but when I click the news feed the error box Unfortunately EdgeSetting has stopped.

I did clear cache and data in the Samsung Galaxy app and did a reset.

Samsung failed when it came to the edge screen functionality of this phone. It should be a lot easier to use the edge screen.

Any idea how to get the clock to appear?

I was able to get rid of the "Unfortunately EdgeSetting has stopped" but I have been unable when swiping to get the clock to come on. When I swipe up and down on the edge the information screens come up. When I swipe right to left (i.e. longer side to loger side of the screen rectangle) nothing happens.
