Anyway to eliminate swipe screen?

I am getting pretty sick and tired of having to swipe my phone every time I pick it up. Is there any way to have it just come on when I push the power button?

Are you talking about the lock-screen? Guess you could disable the lock screen

There're different settings to change the way your phone will lock. You can decide the time to lock after sleep or disable the automatic lock after you press the power button. Also you can use the "smart lock" settings to define trusted devices, places or your face. I really like the new "on body detection" option.

Check all that under settings - security. Ask if you need any help with those features.

Yes, this. Settings > Lock and Screen Security > Screen Lock Type. Select "None."

I heard smartlock is broken at the moment when using it for loction

It wasn't working in my car either. I had it set to unlock when the Bluetooth connected to my car stereo. It still needs the fingerprint.
