Why can't I unsync facebook contacts from Galaxy S6 Contacts in my phone?

I've done everything that I have read online, and everytime I go to the facebook app settings, it already shows that facebook contact is checked to not sync, yet i have about 500 extra contacts and pointless facebook emails in my phone that I don't want--nor do I want to spend 5 hours doing so to delete them. PLEAS HELP!!!

Try going in to your contacts. Press "More" . Select "Settings" the select "contacts to display". try selecting "customized list".

I hope one of your cloud backups didn't sync your FB contacts to its list. I've never seen that happen but I haven't used FB app in about 2 years.

Trying going to where the above suggested, but, try one setting at a time. Ie, have only google saved numbers show first. If the FB contacts aren't listed, go to the next one such as device, sim, samsung, and any other accounts / options listed. This,way you can at least weed out different accounts that normally backup or save contacts.
