Does the US Unlocked Version of the Galaxy S8 Have the Option to Turn Off Shutter Sound?

I use a macro in MacroDroid to silence phone when I open the camera app. It works most of the time. I had to do this with Tasker on a phone in the past. More of a Macrodroid user now.

My only guess is that some countries require a shutter sound. When the phone is attached to a US carrier, it's going to be used in the US where it's not required.

I think you can use a different camera app and silence the shutter.

I found a way around it on my unlocked Note 8. I told Bixby to turn off shutter sound and she did.

OMG. It worked. I won't officially declare victory until it remains off. She said she turned it off. Still don't see an actual setting. Maybe the requirement is just not to have a visible setting.

I was using a MacroDroid routine to silence it.

Cancel that.

I had my system volume down.

It doesn't work on my S8+. Thanks for sharing though. Ugh.
