Is anyone leaving the S8s for any S9?

No. I am done chasing the Holy Grail - - especially over minor improvements that amount to a handful of air when analyzed objectively. "Keeping Up with the Jones's" gets ridiculously expensive after a while.

My S8+ meets my needs.

Issue with waiting is that you will get a processor at the middle of the cycle. I do not think many things will improve. Only if you want the SPen it would make sense.

Dual camera will be s9 plus.

As for size, they are both a tiny bit smaller compared to their s8 counterparts.
I suppose in another year I exchange my s8+ for the s9+, when it's cheaper.

I was on the fence, teetering toward moving to the S9+ from the S8+. Then I found out I could only get the purple or grey here in Canada. No black is a deal breaker for me, so I'll be skipping it.

I don't think I'm going to upgrade to an S9 just yet. It doesn't seem like there's that much of a difference between the S8 and S9 (regular). I'm still happy with my S8. It fits nicely in my hands still meets the needs I have for a phone.

That's what I thought too, initially. When I read grey on their website, I immediately thought about the grey of S8, which I really dislike.

Until yesterday, I saw the 'new' grey of an S9 on display at bestbuy. It was very different and I love it. I actually would have picked it over black if both were available today.

I pre-ordered from BB to get the $450 total trade in offer on Friday. Still not sure of will go though with it since my 8+ is fine. Have to decide if the new camera features, 25% faster chip and better speakers are worth it. Some might see those as good reasons to jump. What bugs me though is was hoping for a 128gb option. Very lame not offered with the 845 version.

Going from the s8plus to s9plus on the Sprint Galaxy forever lease. Only costing me $3 more a month. If I owned the s8plus I would not of upgraded. I will upgrade again next year as well.

I have an S8+ Exynos Variant, pre ordered the S9+ 128GB purely for the sake of the extra internal memory that will free up the space for another sim card (I travel a lot) and Camera !

Yes. The MAIN/ONLY reason is I'll able to tap into the 600 megahertz band on T-Mobile. Expanding my coverage.

I am perfectly happy with my S8...besides I don't plunk down 700 plus dollars just have a phone for less than a year and lose money in the trade in...makes no sense unless you have money to throw away
