Why is my battery draining S9+ since PIE update

My battery went from all day charges to crap ever since the PIE update. Now, using lightning USB plug it takes 5-7 hours for full charge. Once unplugged, while not using it, battery will drop Luke 40% in 30 mins. I do not use a live desktop screen and I've run various battery check software that says good but doesnt charge to full capacity. I've used app killers for any apps running in the background.

I've used the phone clear cache and in safe mode and not in safe mode but no change.

My battery was 100% over night. I took off charger and been tying this message for 10 mins and it's downtown 42%.

could be an app you have is not updated to be optimized for Pie. Try rebooting and clearing cache. if that does not work, as much as a hassle it is, do a.factory reset. that fixes most problems. also might want to wait a week as sometimes it takes a bit for the system to settle back to normal, especially in a major update
