Syncing between devices

Let's say I was foolish enough to get a t mobile phone, but I'm smart enough to regret it. Let's further say that I'm not financially able to rectify that right now. My choices were between a phone with verizon and the galaxy tab with verizon. I chose the latter. So my two android devices are with different companies.

I know that 2 android devices on the same Google account will sync to each other. Does that work even if they are on different networks? If I take a picture on my galaxy tab will it soon migrate to my phone, or vice versa, even though one is t mobile and the other is verizon? None of my gallery pictures ever sync'd to my tablet from my phone when I got it.

If things are linked to your Google account they should sync, I have a wi-fi only Tab and an HTC Desire on Bell and they sync. Obviously if the photo's are on your phone and not in Picasa say, then they won't sync.
