Google input acting up

Since the last updates, When using Google (only), when typing into the search bar, after the first letter, a space is automattically added. So if I was to type in the name "John", it would
end up "J ohn" and you then have to backspace to get rid of the space. I don't have this issue with any other app or website. Kinda funny that a Google driven device doesn't work well with Google.

Anyone else had this issue?
