I have a new Verizon Gear S and my watch's battery is dead after about a day. I just had it away from my phone for two hours, not using it, and the battery dropped about 25%.

Does the AT&T watch'a battery last longer?

I'm confused. Shouldn't the battery life be better than this? After about 12 hours, it's dead?

No they all have the same battery. Make sure you leave GPS off unless you need to use it, turn off motions to wake up watch. You will run through some power when running off 3g because the watch is constantly looking for notifications from your phone

Yup. Anything , like tilt to wake , that keeps the sensors active is going to use cpu, thus battery which powers the cpu processes.

as a stand alone I saw posted here in the forums you lose about 10% an hour so being away from your phone for 2 hours you should have lost 20% or more. When I go walk or run I make sure I have a decent amount of battery life before I go because I know by not taking my phone and having my fitness tracking on it will drain a lot of battery.

I get a full day plus on my watch and I leave my motion to wake on and I use it for alerts over my phone while at work unless I go run or walk in the evening then I have to charge it at some point during the day so it will make it thru my workout.

How do you do with "Motion On?"

I get longer than a day. Just depends on how many notifications I get and if I workout that day (used watch for stand alone or heart monitoring during the workout). When my watch was new (over a year ago and I was not working out) I got 2 days out of it easy.
