Blue tooth connectivity problem with Samsung Gear S2

I'm running Android 5.0 on a Huawei ALE-23 smart phone. I have the Samsung Gear App installed on the phone but when/if I lose blue tooth connectivity between the Gear S2 and my phone, the only way to restore it is by doing a factory reset of the Gear S2.
