I know that the new S2 Classics have an eSim that works with multiple carriers but does that mean I can buy one from AT&T and activate it on T-mobile?

I had read somewhere that the e-sims were locked to the carrier. However, if you treat it like a BT/WIFI model, you can pair it to a t-mobile phone, and still have the larger battery, as well as audible alerts and speakerphone.

I thought one of the main purposes behind the e-sims was to allow them to register with various carriers.
