Gear sport suddenly died

So the other day my gear sport died and won't come back to life. It won't charge when placed on the charger and doesn't respond to any button presses.

Samsung online tech support was no help, I'm sending it to Samsung to see what the problem is. Depending on how much they want to fix it I might just get the watch active 2....

What did you end up doing? Did you fix the gear sport or get a new active 2?
