Hacking Chinese tablet to work without battery?

hacking Chinese tablet to work without battery

I have a philco 7a - it's a china made android tablet from brazil...
its battery is dead and jump-starting it didnt work,
so im experimenting with some ideas....
i connected a usb charging cable (after i exposed it) to the socket where the battery cables went in,
and now the tablet runs(finally) but it gets to the lock screen and doesnt even show the lock just the wifi and the symbol for empty battery and then turns off...

any ideas of how to make it work?
