I'm starting this thread to get some clarity in Samsung gps driver performance.

I'm on pykl3 radar app beta team , I joined team because their was issue with 2.2 version of app build were gps icon would constantly blink then lock for a couple seconds then start blinking again.
With that occurrence gps/radio chip location on my device turned into hot box temps climbing into high triple digits so developer of app worked with me we got issue resolved. In new 2.3 build gps icon stays solid during app use temp remains cooler no more battery burn taking place on are device bug fixed.
There are some on beta team running app on HTC / moto devices still getting gps icon blink stating that gps icon blink doesn't effect device performance but Ive found that not to be true on are device.

Anyone know why gps icon blink would causes higher temps effect performance on are devices?.

GPS Blink means its looking for a solid signal. GPS solid non blinking means it has GPS lock.
When its blinking its using more resources to try to get a lock. This can be sensors, wireless, wifi what ever you have enabled in the GPS settings to help get a lock.
