I rooted my Nexus S 4G using the one click method for tethering. It works great. When this phone gets ICS, will it update my phone with the new android version. I am sure it will take away the root access but want to make sure I will get ICS without unrooting the phone.
BTW, I have not installed any custom ROM or anything else.

Yes you should receive the OTA as long as you stay stock and don't flash a ROM.

You can also just install a rooted version of the update, which will be released the same day that the OTA starts

Why not just install a custom ROM with ICS? AOSP's Rom in Rom Manager is great. Using it as my daily driver. http://forums.androidcentral.com/spr...4-0-3-ics.html
