I posted in the Sprint Section for a reason
It was actually a lot faster than our wireless cable in that room. I dunno why, but my laptop just doesn't get a wifi signal at our bar. it works everywhere around the house except for the room with the least amount of walls. I have a macbook, so I can do this trick on the Mac OS, but I can't on Ubuntu Linux.
