Cancelling Sprint iPhone for Life Plan

Hi~
I currently have the iPhone 6 Plus on Sprint iPhone for Life plan. If I want a different phone, what type of fees will I be charged? I understand I have to return the phone because it's not mine. But I'm getting different answers from the Sprint reps...some saying I have to pay the remaining lease monthly payments, and few are saying I just have to return the phone and that's it.
