I am in the process of transferring my lines to T Mobil and would like to keep my AT&T Note 4s for a little longer. Being able to change batteries and add memory just works Now I am trying to figure out how to unlock B12 on the phones. Thanks for your help!

Not familiar with the note 4 but on the Verizon s7 you could flash the unlocked software on it which adds more LTE bands. Not sure if it would work on the note 4 though. You can try but if it doesn't work then you can brick the phone

I tried using a TMO SIM in a VZW Note 5 and it didn't work so I purchased a TMO phone, problem solved.

I agree this is probably the best way to go. You'll be surprised how many people look for CDMA (sprint/vzw) phones, because they can only be used on their own carrier, compared to gsm which can be used nearly everywhere. If you're looking for say, a note 5 for t-mobile, you can easily sell your note 5 for vzw and at worst break even, oftentimes even make a few dollars for the trouble.
