Can't recognize S7 EDGE

I recently changed from Verizon to T-Mobile. I'm very happy. However I can no longer receive updates because T-mobile won't recognize my phone. It's a galaxy S7 edge and even though it is verizon branded, it's unlocked. Any way to continue to receive the updates.

T-Mobile won't send updates to your phone. Only if Verizon releases an update can you install it.. but if I recall correctly you can't connect to the Verizon one since you're on T-Mobile now.

If you have a friend with an active tmobile account perhaps he can lend you his active sim so you can upgrade
