Wi Fi turns off

Noticed at some public wifi spots that my wifi would turn off after a minute or less. Went to my ATT store where they changed the SIM card. I have the problem again at another spot - my laptop is connected so it must not be a wifi problem. I'm using ATT smart wifi app, but don't think that is the problem. Any suggestions?

I was havng the same problem and took off te ATT wifi app and seems to work better. One less thing to clog memory.

Just reset the app and have been connected for several minutes. Thanks for the hint.
