100% confirmed - Flash and 2.1 coming to Moto Droid

I'm loving home ++. Can't believe its free. I got rid of dxtop bout a week ago.

Home++ worked absolutely fantastic for me for about a week, then I got 10 force closes every minute (no exaggeration).

I get about 1 force close a week with Home++ and when it does do that, the screen goes black for 2 seconds and then its back. Seriously not a bother at all... and the dock and ability to not have the notification bar is very nice

I totally agree dude...I used to have home++ about a month or two ago and man this developer really works hard, cuz it has improved a ton! I love this app and I am finding it to make my phone so much better...screw 2.1! hahaha jk but seriously this is helping with the wait

I got rid of dxtop just the other day and installed the 2.1 launcher. I love it!!! The only thing I really miss is the screen capture. That's minor though. So far this launcher is way faster and smoother. And with using better cut I'm not looking back at all.

I rooted my droid. Added the 2.0.1 launcher/homescreen with 5 screens, not 3. Also replaced the old Music player with the 2.1 version and also did that with the Gallery (big plus). Works well enough for me. It's stable and has some of the features I'm after. Works well with me

there were alot of ppl who bought the droid because they were under the impression that 2.1 was coming in jan. 2010. i would think that verizon and moto would be foolish to not get this update out this month. i gotta admit i am going to be very dissapointed if i dont see 2.1 this month. moto is not rim, so they need to step it up and get some info out to us. we are the ones who keep them in business after all. im just blowin off a lil steam sorry.lol

Did Verizon and Motorola say 2.1 would be pushed in Jan '10? I don't remember them saying that.. I have seen many rumors but no official word. I for one never buy something because I am under the impression something will be upgraded/fixed.

Its not a fix. Verizon's uses that as a selling tool.telling ppl that the Droid will have the same OS that the nexus one has I think.

I wouldnt be that surprised but I THINK it came from the original motorola announcement of the second update around Jan 22nd and then we got wind of the Droid getting 2.1 so someone assumed it was on in the same and we all wanted to believe it lol.

It came from that leaked document that gave us the date of the December upgrade if im not mistaken. Im sure it will be here soon.

That would be awesome.... Im so amped to call VZW in a few hours about my early upgrade, if eveything goes well ill have my droid at the end of today. I was hopin to pick it up with 2.1 but ill take 2.01 any day over BB 5.0. I just hope VZW honors what they noted on my account.
Back on topic, I know everyone is antsy but google has been fantastic with upgrades so far it seems, they have been rolling out new features and fixes much faster than many other platforms. We should all be excited about the future android holds and the direction the platform is going.

Edit: My long and painful days with the storm are finally done, VZW finally approved an upgrade for me and I can now join the droid community in anxiously awaiting 2.1
