For $50 more its a no brainer.
i got the 16 because i had ~ $200 gamestop credit to spend and they only had the 16
I agree. Plus, I'm not always around wifi. I got the 16GB so I could slap some movies on there and have a number of books downloaded to it for when I want to use it without wifi, and still not have to worry about running out of room for apps.
Streaming movies and music is great...but it's not always an option. So I always opt for the larger storage capacity (which is why I almost left AT&T over the 16GB-only SGS III...lucky for them Verizon made it too expensive to switch for one phone).
How did you get that much credit? Console?

Because plenty of people go places in which they don't have access to the internet.
I'm not one of them, so I bought the 8GB. But it seems like there are fanboys on each side of this debate who are so arrogant that they aren't able to see the simple and logical reasons that the other side may have for making their choice.
There are storage fanboys?

There are storage fanboys?
There's a fine line between fanboys and fanatics.

Due to the lack of expandable internal storage I went with the 16. Besides, who has ever sat around and thought, "Gee, I wish I didn't have all this extra room on my device."
Many of us would say that. I've done it before. I still say "Gee, I wish I would have saved that $100 on my PS3 because after 3 years I still haven't used that extra 40Gb's I paid for".
As you can see from this thread, there are plenty of people who would rather have the $50 than the extra space.
