I downloaded a battery widget. There are others available, I just haven't downloaded any.

I guess the question to ask is, is she on VZW an if so what phone does she have? My old dare would send long messages to my GF's old lg slider phone. My buddy's phone on sprint would only recieve the first 160, an another buddy's on tmobile would get multiple pages

She has an Eris on VZW, I know that non-vzw phones don't like 160+ but usually IN phones all accept long messages fine

Is the root file named root because I looked on my sd with astro and don't see a file named root.

I LOVE 2.1!!! It's so much better than 1.5. I can't believe all the improvements. I hate VZW for keeping this from us! lol

If you root your phone to the 2.1. are you able to download future updates. Because all I hear is, you root your phone, you break the warrenty and all that other junk.

I FWD: jokes on to my GF all the time that are 160+ and her eris recieves them just fine. Is she using a third party messaging app? How long has the prob been happing?

As far as I know its happened since she got the phone. Recently she has been using Handcent but I think the problem existed before that and my handcent receives 160+ messages anyway so I don't know why that would impact it.

The Phone Bug is back. Possibly the most frustrating issue I have ever had with a phone. Every third or fourth call I make, I have to restart the phone to get it to work. So irritating.

press the gear key on the keyboard and it will bring up setting or go to settings text and keyboard and it will be there under touch input i belive

I am running the second leak of 2.1. Everything is awesome on this phone, except for the friggen phone.

Every third or fourth time I go to make a call, I get nothing. Awfully frustrating.

That's the Phone bug. In order to make another call I'm pretty sure you have to restart your phone.

I got the 2nd OTA leak and I cannot download from the market. I can get on web and everything but downloads just say, "starting download..." anyone else get this?

Fixed. I don't think you can download stuff from the market from Wifi only.
